The British Ambassador to Libya renews her country's interest in the elections and in supporting stability through the exit of mercenaries and foreign forces.

Tripoli, December 3, 2021 (LANA) - The British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, reiterated her country's keenness on the exit of mercenaries and all foreign forces from the country, and its support for holding the elections on the specified date, and that Britain stands at the same distance from all candidates and does not support one candidate without another. Rather, it supports the electoral process itself and the commission that implements it (because we believe and trust the will of the Libyan people to express their opinion through these elections, and this means that the elections will be positive, and the number of voters who received their cards is a positive sign, it is up to the Libyans themselves to choose their president and who represents them During the election process, it is important that the judges play their part.

In the video published on the British embassy website, via the social network, in which she answered all the questions she received from several questioners in what the website called a “direct question and answer session with the British Ambassador to Libya Caroline Hurndall,” she added: (We support a united Libya, and therefore we support the elections for Libya to recover and move forward after 10 difficult years have passed, and we work with all parties seeking to achieve stability and peace in Libya, because strong relations link us with Libya and we seek to develop and raise the level of these relations).

Regarding limiting her presence to Tripoli, to the exclusion of other cities in southern and eastern Libya, the British ambassador said: (I hope to visit most, if not all, Libyan cities according to the program that was established in this regard, and the short time has passed since I started my duties in the country last September without starting the execution of this program).
