Tripoli, November 29, 2021 (LANA) - The National Center for Disease Control issued a circular that included important recommendations regarding the emergence of a mutant Corona epidemic "Omicron", which has begun to spread in some countries.

The circular, which came after the meeting that was held between the scientific committee to confront the Corona epidemic at the center and some of its technical departments on November 28, regarding the spread of this mutant, included several recommendations.

The recommendations stipulated that Libyan citizens should not travel to the countries where the mutant appeared in order to avoid infection, while the center stressed that all travelers coming from these countries should undergo a PCR analysis, with a negative result 48 hours before, with home quarantine and no contact for at least 10 days.

The third recommendation indicated that a PCR analysis should be conducted for suspected cases coming from travel for fear of being infected with the mutant, while confirming the fourth recommendation that foreigners coming from the mutated countries should not enter until after proof of hotel quarantine for a period of at least 10 days and at own expense an analysis (PCR) negative.

The last recommendation called for the International Health Supervision Office to prepare a weekly update on the countries in which the mutant appeared and the measures to be taken at the ports.
