Tripoli, 14 November 2021 (Lana) The High National Elections Commission withdrew the news of Saif Al-Islam's candidacy for the presidency from its Facebook account, less than an hour after its publication, without stating the reasons.

The Commission earlier published on its official account news and photos of the candidacy which Saif Gaddafi submitted to the Office of the electoral management office in Sebha, south Libya, and officials of the Commission confirmed in statements to local media the news of the candidacy.
