Tripoli, 14 November, 2021 (Lana) - A memorandum of understanding was signed in Tunisia between the Central Bank of Libya and the Central Bank of Tunisia to enhance cooperation in the areas of joint work.
The signing came after a meeting held by the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Seddik Omar al-Kabir, with the Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Marwan al-Abassi.
The memorandum of understanding provides for enhancing prospects for cooperation in the field of developing financial transactions launching initiatives and training Libyan youth to keep pace with development in the banking field and encouraging them to innovate by launching financial technology laboratories.
The agreement also stipulated the exchange of information, the development of effective banking supervision, monetary policy, and the development of payment systems.
