Prime Minister: Voices concern over two sectors that are blocked from Libyan people.

Pulbished on:

Tripoli, 27 October, 2021 (Lana) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba affirmed that the Libyans have been granted a bounty by God that would enable them lead a good and dignified life, expressing his deep dissatisfaction with the benefit of foreigners and their enjoyment of the riches that God gave to the Libyans, while the Libyans are deprived of it. Rather, they were often exploited as workers who work for low wages and in unsuitable work sites for these foreigners, stressing that this must end today before tomorrow.

In his speech, Al-Dabaiba pointed out that the deprivation affected the Libyans, even in employment in some of the state institutions, which remained and are still monopolized by certain groups and families, and the rest of the Libyans are deprived of them.

Dabaiba said in this regard, "We have two ministries or two sectors (foreign affairs and oil). These sectors are hidden from the Libyan people. Foreign affairs are restricted to certain families and groups, and the oil sector is absolutely unknown to Libyans."

The Prime Minister stressed that this matter must end sooner rather than later, because the oil sector in particular is able to absorb all unemployment, which rocketed to 30 percent among young people.

Al-Dabaiba expressed his concern at the existence of one oil institute and the impossible terms that the supervisors of its administrations put in front of those who want to enroll to it, saying, "You can enter Oxford University and not enter the Oil Institute in Libya, which restricted its entry to certain categories, but it came to them to ask you who are you and where did you come from and we want Information about you for fear of spoiling their work.

The prime minister expressed his astonishment at limiting the services of the Oil Clinic to one category of Libyans that only nobles could access its service, as he put it.

Debbieh said, "The oil sector in Libya has only benefited foreigners from Emirati and Dutch companies, Algeria's Sonatrach and other companies. This would not continue. Al-Dabaiba stressed that the Libyans in general should enjoy the spoils of their land, especially those who live in the oil-producing areas and the Oil Crescent, their conditions should change for the better, but rather they should change radically.
