Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary following up on Final Preparations of Libya’s Participation in International Mediterranean Conference.

Tripoli, 26 October 2021(Lana) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for International Cooperation and Organizations, Omar Katti, held, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli yesterday, the first preparatory meeting to discuss arrangements and final preparations related to the participation of the Libyan delegation in the International Mediterranean Conference, on the role of the private sector in achieving sustainable development goals, which is scheduled to be held in Tunisia on November 1st.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the National Planning Council, Sami Shalladi, and representatives of some sectors concerned with this conference.

In this regard, it was agreed to prepare a working paper for all sectors targeted for attendance of this conference, in coordination with all concerned sectors, to introduce the private sector in Libya, and the role assigned to it in achieving sustainable development, in addition to reviewing the experiences of the participating countries to benefit from them.
