German Ambassador to Libya Praises Presidency Council’s Effort to Unify State Institutions, and launching of National Reconciliation Project.Pulbished on:
Tunis, 26 October 2021 (Lana) Deputy President of the Presidency Council Abdullah Al Lafi, received today in Tunis, the German Ambassador to Libya Mikhail Unmacht, with whom he discussed latest developments of the political scene in Libya, especially the issue of elections to be held in December.
The Deputy President welcomed at the beginning of the meeting the German Ambassador, praising the positive role of Germany towards the Libyan file, through the Berlin meetings, and its endeavour to bring about peaceful solutions to the Libyan issue.
Al-Lafi said the Presidential Council is determined to move forward with holding of presidential and parliamentary elections on set time, along with the comprehensive national reconciliation project.
On his part, the German Ambassador praised the efforts of the Presidency Council in unifying state institutions, launching the national reconciliation project, and continuing to push for holding the elections on the set time.
