A delegation of French businessmen to hold talks with several officials in the unity government will visit Tripoli tomorrow, Sunday.

Paris, October 9, 2021 (LANA) - A high-level delegation of French businessmen and economists is expected to start tomorrow, Sunday, October 10, a visit to Tripoli, in order to hold talks on strengthening cooperation relations between France and Libya, and in preparation for reconfirming the French interest in Libya, before the international conference called by French President Emmanuel Macron on November 12.

The French weekly magazine "Jeune Afrique" reported that the French energy giant Total will lead this delegation, which includes the director of the "Dinos Health Management" hospital, the CEO of "Medif International", the director of Africa and the Middle East in "Vinci Construction" for large projects and the president of the French-Libyan Chamber of Commerce.

 The magazine indicated that the delegation intends to meet with several ministers in the national unity government, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Najla Al-Manqoush, Minister of Oil and Gas Mohamed Aoun, Minister of Economy Mohamed Al-Hweij, Minister of Health Ali Al-Zanati and Minister of Transport Mohamed Al-Shoubi, in addition to an upcoming meeting with the President of the Libyan Chamber of Commerce Mohamed Al-Raid .

Jean Afrique added that France is seeking to establish itself in the reconstruction of Libya in the fields of construction, health, water and energy, and said that the "Patrick Boianne Group" is seeking to negotiate the purchase of the shares of the American "Hess" company in the Oasis field, while the "Dinos Health Management" hospital seeks to sign a contract to manage the Benghazi Medical Center.

In addition, the magazine confirmed that other French companies are hoping to return to Libya, such as ‘’Balori for Transport and Logistics’’, which is negotiating the terms of its concession contract for the stations of the Misurata Free Zone port, which was signed in 2010, and is the subject of a dispute between major companies.
