 Tripoli, October 8, 2021 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohamed Al-Mnifi" met Thursday with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives, "Youssef Al-Aqoury" to discuss the conditions of Libyan diplomatic work abroad, the procedures for organizing it, as well as the file of appointing a number of new ambassadors.

 During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Council stressed the importance of adopting professional standards in all procedures related to diplomatic work, praising all efforts made to develop this important sector, noting that the Council pays great attention to the diplomatic work file, and work is continuing to solve all the bottlenecks it faces.

 For his part, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee gave an overview of the work of the Committee and the measures it took to reorganize the work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation in line with applicable laws and regulations, and to ensure the strengthening of the work of Libyan diplomacy abroad, and the preparation of specialized professional cadres.

 This meeting comes within the framework of the role of the Presidential Council in taking care of the foreign policy file in a way that enhances Libya's position in its regional and international surroundings.
