During his meeting with the UN Secretary-General in New York, the President of the Presidential Council expresses his appreciation for the efforts of the United Nations, in supporting the Libyan political dialogue.

New York, September 25, 2021 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohamed Mnifi," met Friday in New York, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, "Antonio Gutierrez" to discuss the latest developments in Libya.

 The President of the Presidential Council expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the United Nations, in supporting the Libyan political dialogue, to restore stability and build the democratic state that the Libyans seek, stressing the importance of the role played by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, in helping the success of the political process, for h the country to hold the elections in the best political and security conditions.

 During the meeting, Gutierrez welcomed the dialogue paths led by the Presidential Council, between all parties, stressing the need to hold elections on time at the end of this year, and the need to work on the exit of mercenaries to ensure the stability of Libya and neighboring countries.
