Al-Ghweil in a statement to LANA: Signing several memoranda of understanding between Libya and Egypt, which is in the mutual interest of the two brotherly peoples.

Tripoli, September 17, 2021 (LANA) - Minister of State for Economic Affairs Salama Al-Ghwell affirmed that the Libyan-Egyptian cooperation that we are currently witnessing in various fields culminated in the signing of several memoranda of mutual understanding in the mutual interest of the two brotherly peoples, describing this cooperation as a step in the right direction.

"This joint cooperation was hoped by the real political administration of the National Unity Government and the political administration of the leadership in Egypt, which culminated in the signing of 13 joint memoranda of understanding, in addition to six executive contracts between the two sides in various fields, including roads, construction, electricity, agriculture, health, civil service, transfer of expertise, and capital activation.

The Minister of State for Economic Affairs added in his statement that the meetings of the Economic Committee, which were held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy, "Mohamed Lahouij" and the Minister of International Cooperation, "Rania Al-Mashat" of the Egyptian government, have worked during their meetings to study all the memorandums of mutual understanding required by the current stage for the two countries, in addition to studying all the joint memoranda of understanding that It took place in the past between the two countries, which went through a period of stagnation as a result of non-exceptional circumstances that are not commensurate with the reality, culture and relationship of the Libyan and Egyptian peoples and their historical connection.
