Libyan-American Talks on Political Developments and Execution of Road Map.

Tripoli, 15 September 2021(Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba on Wednesday met a US delegation who arrived earlier on a visit, during which they expected to discuss political developments, the execution of the roadmap, and the forthcoming elections in December.

The delegation included Derek Chollet, Senior Adviser at the State Department, the US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland, Thu Rajan Special Assistant to the Counselor to the Secretary General, and Andrew Paul in charge of Public Affairs at the US Embassy.

Al Dbeiba said his Government was doing its best to render the elections a success, by allocating enough money to the election Commission, and ensuring security and stability for the vote.

Chollet reaffirmed his country’s support for the political track and cooperation with the Government to get to the Dec. 24 elections.
