 Rome, 15 September, 2021 (Lana) - The Vice-President of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met, Wednesday, in the Italian capital, Rome, with the Minister of Economic Development, Giancarlo Giorgetti, in the presence of the Libyan ambassador to Italy.

During the meeting, they discussed mechanisms for activating the investment promotion agreement signed between the two countries in 2000, and rescheduling the debts of Italian companies on the Libyan state. It has debts on Libya, which will open the way for a better flow of Italian investments. Al-Lafi pointed out that the friendship agreement signed in 2008 includes the construction of a highway linking Ras Ajdir with Musaed, as well as the development of health facilities in Libya.

 - He called for the formation of a joint technical committee to review the debts of Italian companies to the Libyan state.
