Chaired by Al-Manqoush and her Greek counterpart: a session of Libyan-Greek discussions on ways to develop prospects for cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Athens, September 06, 2021 (LANA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation "Najla Al-Manqoush" discussed today, Monday, with her Greek counterpart, "Nikos Dendias" in the Greek capital, Athens, the latest developments in Libya.

The meeting dealt with the relations between the two countries, and ways to support and develop them to serve the interests of the two friendly countries, according to what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reported on its official page.

After the meeting, the two sides held a session of talks, at the headquarters of the Greek Foreign Ministry, with the participation of the delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs and a number of Greek Foreign Ministry officials.

The discussions session focused on discussing the possibility of benefiting from Greek expertise, in the fields of alternative and renewable energy, and health, in addition to contributing to development and reconstruction projects, and cooperation in the field of reviving and maintaining ancient Greek cities.

The talks session also discussed the return of air traffic and the reopening of the airspace between the two countries.

During the talks, the Greek side expressed its desire to join the Libya Stability Initiative, stressing in this regard its full support for it.

 He also expressed his aspiration to invest in Libya, and his country's contribution to development projects and reconstruction.
