Italian Premier and Russian Foreign Minister Stress Importance of Getting Mercenaries and Foreign Fighters out of Libya and Holding Elections in December.
Pulbished on:Rome, 28 August 2021(Lana) Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavarov discuss at a meeting in Rome on Friday the situation in Libya and developments in Afghanistan.
The Italian Government said on its SMS page Draghi discussed with Lavarov the situation in Libya particularly the need for the UN-led political dialogue to continue. Draghi also discussed with the Russian Minister the Libyan elections due on Dec. 24, and withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces from the country.
