Tripoli, August 25, 2021 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Al-Dbaiba, held a meeting with a number of members of the House of Representatives, representing different electoral districts, in the presence of the President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Manfi.

The Prime Minister clarified that these counter-meetings are important and should take place on a regular basis, stressing that activating the parliamentary committees to follow up on the ministries has become an urgent necessity to determine the situation in a realistic manner, and that the government is still waiting for the approval of the budget to implement its plan.

In turn, the President of the Presidential Council welcomed participation in this meeting, which aims to remedy any difficulties or problems the government faces in performing its work, stressing the need for everyone to cooperate in the file of national reconciliation and the unification of the military institution, which is the responsibility of the Presidential Council.

Representative "Salem Guenidi" explained that the aim of the meeting is to follow up on the government's performance and to identify the difficulties it is facing, as well as to listen to the notes recorded by a large number of deputies to work on addressing them.

Also, during the meeting, the door for discussion was opened for members of the House of Representatives and to listen to their comments and respond to them by the Prime Minister, and it was agreed at the end of the meeting that meetings should be held periodically to discuss any political or administrative developments.
