The Prime Minister meets with notables and elders of the Tabu in Murzuq.

Tripoli, August 18, 2021 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid Dbaiba" met today, Wednesday, with notables and wise men of the Tabu, members of the Municipal and Social Council in Murzuq and representatives of civil society organizations in the city, in the presence of a member of the House of Representatives from the city, "Mohamed Lino".

During the meeting, which was attended by the Ministers of Finance and State for Cabinet Affairs and the Prime Minister, Dbaiba stressed the steps that must be taken to reach peace in the city, and gave an example of the experience of Tawergha and Misrata in national reconciliation.

Al-Dbaiba explained that extending security is the responsibility of the government, but it must be parallel to the steps of national reconciliation, stressing that completing this thorny file will be a fundamental task for the national unity government.

The heads of the Council of Notables and Elders of the Tabu and the Social Council of the city of Murzuq affirmed their readiness and desire for a comprehensive reconciliation between the people and the Tabu living in the city, with their demand to provide the necessary services to the residents.

Al-Dbaiba issued his instructions to hold a meeting tomorrow between the wise and notables with the committee formed by the decision of the Council of Ministers to follow up on the situation in Murzuq.
