Pulbished on:

Tripoli, 16 August, 2021 (Lana) - Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Abu Janah visited Al-Razi Hospital for Psychiatric and Neurological Diseases in Tripoli, during which he was briefed on his needs.

The director of the hospital and the medical and auxiliary medical personnel and its employees, during their reception of Deputy "Abu Jinnah", expressed their observations about the workflow in the hospital and its needs.

He inspected the corridors of the hospital, which suffers from a lack of capabilities and a deterioration in its infrastructure due to the passage of years without undergoing maintenance, in addition to the fact that it did not receive wide attention from previous governments. He called on all hospital workers, during their meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, from the Ministry of Health to provide medicines for mental illnesses that are sold at high prices in private commercial pharmacies, calling on the competent authorities to take care of the hospital and contribute to the disposal of expired pharmaceutical waste in the stores. During the meeting, they also called on the competent authorities to carry out urgent maintenance of the dilapidated buildings and to complete the water tank of the medical facility. The hospital administration called for the establishment of a committee from the prison administration of the Ministry of Justice to look into the maintenance of the judicial shelter building, as the Psychiatric Hospital in Tripoli plays an important role in adjudicating and broadcasting many criminal crimes. Abu Janah's visit to Al-Razi Psychiatric Hospital is the government's first. Al-Razi Hospital played a prominent role during the emergence of the Corona pandemic in the country, as it was one of the first health facilities that began to manufacture medical masks to confront the pandemic, in addition to the great efforts made by the medical and administrative staff in that crisis, and the allocation of a special section for isolation to receive the injured from the inmates.
