Berlin, August 11, 2021 (LANA) - Bahraini Foreign Minister "Abdullatif Al-Zayani" renewed the call for the international community to support the national unity government and the need for all foreign fighters and mercenaries to leave Libya.

This came during a joint press conference held by "Al-Zayani" with his German counterpart "Heiko Maas" today, Wednesday, following a session of joint official talks, in the presence of two delegations from the two countries in the German capital, Berlin, according to what the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its website.

Al-Zayani affirmed his country's support for the efforts of the international community to create the necessary conditions for holding the elections on time, on the 24th of next December.

Al-Zayani expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's appreciation for the active and constructive role of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany in the Middle East, noting that the peoples of the Middle East have suffered greatly and for a long period of insecurity and stability, expressing the Kingdom of Bahrain's pride in working and coordinating with the Republic of Germany in providing support and hope to the peoples of Region.

He also praised the efforts of the Federal Republic of Germany in hosting the Berlin 1 and Berlin 2 conferences to resolve the Libyan crisis.
