Tripoli, 26 July 2021(Lana) US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury Eric Meyer is heading a delegation on a visit to Libya which included representatives of American companies and the CEO of the telecommunication company Infinera, and the US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland.
According to the US Embassy statement, the visit program included meetings with Libyan officials and to attending an event for signing an agreement between the Libya Telephone Co. which is affiliated with the Libyan Telecommunication Network and the American Infinera company.
The delegation was also meet the members of the Presidency Council Musa Al Koni and Abdullah Al Lafi, the Head of the Government Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba, and the President of the High Council of State Khalid Al Meshri.
The US Ambassador underscored importance of preparing for the elections on their set time, to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people for a fair and free elections as a step to a free, democratic and stable country.
