Tripoli, June 22 (LANA) - Member of the Presidential Council, "Abdullah Al-Lafi," affirmed that cooperation with foreign non-governmental organizations is regulated by local laws, and regulations that preserve Libya's sovereignty.
Al-Lafi said in a statement to the Libyan News Agency that the Presidential Council welcomes all local and international initiatives that would bring the views of the people of the country closer and contribute to achieving real national reconciliation in order to restore stability to our country, but at the same time we categorically refuse to bypass the legitimate and official authorities no matter what. It was the stated goal of these initiatives.
The member of the Presidential Council added that our doors are open to all, and we have started organizing forums to adopt the mechanisms of national reconciliation, which will reach five forums, in order to give the opportunity for everyone to participate in this national action from within without the need to hold it outside Libya.
