Britain Renews Support for UN Effort to Hold Elections on set Time and Pull out of Mercenaries From Libya.

London, 18 May 2021(Lana) Britain has renewed support for efforts by the UN Support Mission in Libya aimed at holding elections on set time and pull out of mercenaries.

This came at a meeting the British Minister of Middle Eastern Affairs James Cleverly held with the UN Special Envoy to Libya Jan Kopis in London on Monday during which he reasserted his country support for holding elections on Dec. 24 and expulsion of foreign mercenaries from the country.

The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office said in a tweet ‘Britain fully supports efforts of the UN Support Mission in Libya to assist Libyans to ensure that Dec. 24 elections are conducted, and all foreign mercenaries and fighters expelled from the country and peace and stability in restored to the country.
