PM issues instructions to prepare an integrated national plan to preserve environment.

Tripoli, 3 November, 2021 (Lana) - Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba, instructed the Ministers of Education, Higher Education, Scientific Research, Youth, Agriculture, Local Government and the Environment to take the necessary measures to preserve the environment.

The instructions, which came in a letter sent by the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and the Prime Minister to the concerned ministers, follow the participation of the Prime Minister in the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow and the recommendations he reached that obligate countries to take measures and limit the rise in global warming and the danger of global warming.

The instructions issued to the Minister of Education stipulate that the subject of the environment and its preservation should be included in the curricula, while the instructions to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research stipulate the activation of the environmental departments. The instructions also stipulated the ministries of youth, agriculture, local government, education, higher education, scientific research and the environment to prepare an integrated national plan to launch the planting trees campaign.
