Head of GNU Government Welcomes Italian Interior Minister.

Tripoli, 4 August 2021(Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba on welcomed Wednesday afternoon Italian Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese and the delegation accompanying her.

Al Dbeiba stressed at the meeting, attended by Interior Minister Khalid Mazen and Head of the Anti-migration Body Brigadier Mabrouk Abdul Hafidh, need to activate Italy’s role in combating illegal migration and for cooperation between the two Ministries.

The Italian Minister stressed importance of constant liaison with the Libyan Interior Ministry on a number of key files including and foremost the migration file.

The situation in Tunisia and effect of the migration file was discussed at the meeting.
