Italian Security Official Briefs Parliament on Developments in Libya.

Rome, 23 July 2021(Lana) Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Peace of the Republic Adolfo Orso has briefed Parliament on outcome of a hearing session conducted on Thursday with Director of Information and Foreign Security Agency Geovanni Caravelli.

Oraso, a member of Italian Brothers ‘Fraternita’ party said the meeting involved, in particular, an extended study on the situation in Libya, in reference to expected timelines for peace agreements, with the continued presence of foreign forces which seek to achieve their strategic objectives, and in reference to the Sahel region and the African Horn and the potential repercussions of irregular migrant flow and Italian source of energy, according to a remarks published by the Italian Aki news agency.
