Coast Guard Rescue 179 Illegal Migrants Including 18 Women and 4 Children.

Tripoli, 22 July 2021(Lana) Coast Guard elements affiliated with the GNU Ministry of Interior have rescued 179 illegal migrants including 18 women, 4 children and one enfant.

According to the Interior Ministry website, the rescued migrants were handed over to the migrant detention point at the Tripoli Seaport, and offered medical and humanitarian assistance, before they are finally handed over to the anti-migration authorities.

The GNU Ministry of Interior has earlier announced that 147 illegal migrants have been rescued by the marine boat ‘p200’ off the Tripoli coast and handed over to the migration authorities in Tripoli.
