The Supreme State, the Central Bank and the Audit Bureau are discussing the economic situation in the country in light of the lack of approval of the budget.

Tripoli, July 13, 2021 (LANA) - The President of the Supreme Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, held a meeting today, Tuesday, with the governor of the Central Bank of Libya, the head of the Audit Bureau, the head of the Administrative Control Authority, and the head of the National Anti-Corruption Commission at the council’s headquarters in the capital, Tripoli.

The meeting dealt with the country's economic conditions, and ways to confront the daily living problems in light of the lack of adoption of the budget, according to what the media office of the council stated on its official page.

It was agreed that the government would spend the budget (12/1) taking into consideration the change in the exchange rate of the Libyan dinar, in addition to emphasizing that the supervisory bodies would play their role in preventing budget deviations.
