The President of the Presidential Council receives the credentials of the Portuguese ambassador to Libya.

 Tripoli 27 June, 2021 (Lana) - The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, in Tripoli received, Sunday, the credentials of the Portuguese Ambassador to Libya, Nonu Bilo.

 The President of the Presidential Council welcomed the Portuguese ambassador, wishing him success in his new mission, stressing the depth of relations between Libya and the Republic of Portugal, and Libya's desire to continue strengthening these relations, to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

For his part, the ambassador expressed his great happiness to work in Libya, after the return of stability and the election of a new executive authority. He stressed that the stability of Libya will contribute to the stability of the entire Mediterranean countries, and that the Portuguese government is committed to achieving peace in this country.

The receipt of the credentials of the Portuguese ambassador was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Mohamed Issa.
