Tripoli, June 23, 2021 (LANA) - Member of the Presidential Council "Abdullah Al-Lafi" met this evening, Wednesday, in the capital, Tripoli, members of the House of Representatives from the western region.
The discussion centered (according to the Media Office of the Presidential Council) on what the Presidential Council has accomplished within (100) days since it officially assumed its duties last February, during which many important benefits and files were reviewed, such as elections and the unification of state institutions, foremost of which is the military.
The participants in the meeting discussed the efforts exerted to unify the army and work to hold a meeting with the Defense and National Security Committee of the House of Representatives and military leaders to complete the discussion and briefing in this regard.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments related to the constitutional rule, to hold the elections on the specified date.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to continue meetings and meetings on a regular basis and to follow up on local and international political developments.
