US Ambassador to Libya: We should not Waite until after Elections to Get Foreign Forces out of Libya.

Washington, 23 June 2021(Lana) US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland said foreign forces have not left Libya yet, and our basic stance is that we would not wait until after elections to see progress on this objective.

The Voice of America website quoted the Special Envoy to Libya as saying ‘one reason that makes elections very important is that a Libyan legitimate government with full authority, credibility and legitimacy can resort to foreign powers and say ‘it’s time to get your forces out.’
