Electricity Company Signs up with Algerian Company to Link up and Conduct Maintenance Work on Some Plants.

Tripoli, 18 June 2021(Lana) the Chairman of the Board of the Libyan Electricity Company Wiam Al Abdali met the Chairman of the Board and Director of the Algerian Sonelgas Chaher Boulakhras to discuss cooperation between the two companies in the area of electrical energy.

The two sides also discussed arrangements for mobile units to be put in place in Tripoli to back up the electricity generation plants and also prospects of cooperation in the area of maintenance and power transmission and electricity link up between the two countries.

Boulakhras said at a press conference in Tripoli on Friday that the talks have yielded an agreement to supply the Libya electricity comapny with power in the summer of 2021.

According to Boulakhras the agreement also included hiring gas turbines in the coming days with a capacity of 180 and 200 megawatts.
