Doha, June 15, 2021 (LANA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, "Najla Al-Manqoush" seeks to mobilize Arab support for the Libyan initiative for the foundations of achieving stability in Libya, which is based mainly on the principle of national sovereignty of the Libyan state and the independence of its decision, which is scheduled to be presented at the Berlin Conference 2 on 23 June.
In this context, Minister Naglaa Al-Manqoush held a consultative meeting on the sidelines of the Arab League ministerial meeting in the Qatari capital today with her Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry on this initiative and ways to support it within the framework of the road map and the outcomes of the Berlin 1 Conference and international resolutions related to the Libyan file. Shoukry invited the Minister to visit Egypt for further consultations before the Berlin 2 conference.
During this meeting, the Egyptian minister reiterated his country's position in support of the Presidential Council and the National Unity Government and their efforts to fulfill the upcoming requirements, foremost of which is holding the elections on time according to the road map.
For its part, Al-Manqoush expressed her thanks and gratitude to Egypt for its supportive stance for the Libyan people and its keenness to achieve security and stability in all parts of Libya.
According to the information office of the Libyan Foreign Ministry, the meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on various issues of common interest, foremost of which is the process of cooperation between the two brotherly countries and ways to support them to include all fields.
