Observation of ruins of Tolema, announces discovery of a large prehistoric cave.

Tripoli, 15 June, 2021 (Lana) - The Antiquities Watch of Tocra, east of the city of Benghazi, announced a new archaeological discovery. A large cave on the seashore with rock drawings, in the Mirad Massoud area, near the ancient town of Tolmitha, in the east of the country.

  The Antiquities Office of Tolmeitha and Tokara Antiquities Monitoring stated that through archaeologists, it was found that the Great Cave consists of three holes dug in the rock. It is located about 2 km east of the Okla site and on the edge of Wadi Shuwaier from the western side on the sea and has a road carved in the rock from the eastern side.

The cave contains rock drawings represented in human and animal shapes and a lot of fractures and remains of stone and bones such as: - stone axes and arrows, all these indications indicate that this site dates back to the prehistoric period. This site is likely to be a new discovery.
