Tripoli, 14 June 2021(Lana) GNU Foreign Minister Najla Al Mangoush has voiced her full support for the work of the Military Committee 5+5, and the effort of members to restore Libya’s sovereignty, vowing that there will be no let up on this patriotic principle.
This came at a meeting Al Mangoush held on Monday with members of Committee 5+5, designed for consultation prior to the Berlin 2 Conference.
Al Mangoush said she along with the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs were working, domestically and abroad, on putting practice provisions of the ceasefire agreement, and re-opening of the coastal highway before the Berlin Conference.
She said she would seek to rally support for full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, restore stability to the country, and unify state institutions to ensure implementation of the roadmap in anticipation of the general elections later this year.
On their part, members of the committee stressed the need for Government support and the Foreign Ministry in particular for implementation of the ceasefire, re-opening of the coastal highway as a good gesture, and finally executing the rest of the ceasefire provisions in anticipation of withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries.
