Tunis, 12 June 2021(Lana) The Governor of Tunisian Central Bank Marwan Al Abbasi has stressed, in a hearing at the Parliamentary Finance, Planning and Development Committee, need for more serious dealing with the Libyan market following the recent exchange with Tunisia.

‘We have to facilitate entry of Libyans into Tunisia, to save them hours of waiting, to treat them with flexibility at clinics, and not to charge them sur-charges, and to make it easier for them to withdraw their funds to build confidence, Al Abbasi told the Committee.

The Governor also called for leniency in dealing with Tunisian expatriates, who, he said, provide hard currency for the Tunisian state. ‘It isn’t rather hard, but we make it hard, he added.
