Britain and Italy Affirm Their Support to Permanent Ceasefire in Libya.

London, 12 June 2021(Lana) Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and his British Counterpart Boris Johnson have affirmed their support for a lasting ceasefire in Libya, for a democratic transition of power.

The Italian Aki news agency quoted a spokesman for Downing Street as saying ‘the British Prime Minister and his Italian Counterpart have discussed, on the sidelines of the G7 summit meeting on Friday, a number of issues of joint priority including a lasting ceasefire in Libya as well as a peaceful and democratic transition.

The Spokesman said Johnson was committed to working with Draghi at the G7 meeting and the G20 this year.
