Al-Lafi discusses with the Saudi ambassador to Tunisia the latest developments in Libya.

Tunis, May 6, 2021 (LANA) - Member of the Presidential Council, "Abdullah Al-Lafi", received today, Thursday, at his residence in the capital Tunis, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Tunisia, "Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al-Saqr."

The Presidential Council said on its Facebook page that the meeting dealt with issues of common interest between the two brotherly countries, and developments in the political situation in Libya.

He added that "Al-Lafi" expressed during the meeting his gratitude for the support provided by the Kingdom for the path of national unity in Libya, and for supporting stability.

For his part, the Saudi ambassador affirmed his country's continued support for the political solution in Libya, and its interest in supporting the unification of institutions and ending all kinds of conflicts.

Al-Lafi and his accompanying delegation had arrived in Tunis earlier to hold a number of official meetings, with a number of Arab and regional parties.
