Secretary-General of United Nations "calls to seize the opportunity in Libya and build on it."

Washington, 21 April, 2021 (Lana) - The Secretary-General of the United Nations Organization called for " seizing the opportunity in Libya and build on it."

This came during his participation in the meeting of the International Quartet on Libya, via closed communication circles, on Tuesday.

In a press conference, the official spokesman of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric, said: "After years of violence and suffering, there is a window of opportunity in Libya, but urgent and immediate measures are needed to seize this opportunity."

It is noteworthy that the committee was formed based on the initiative of the League of Arab States, and includes in its membership in addition to the League, "the United Nations, the European Union and the African Union."
