African Parliament Welcomes UN Security Council Resolution Supporting National Unity Government.

Addis Ababa, 19 April 2021(Lana) The African Parliament has welcomed UN Security Council resolution supporting National Unity Government in Libya which has been taken unanimously.

The Political Adviser of the President of the African Parliament Mustafa Al Jundi said in a statement he released in the name of the Parliament has stressed the need for supporting the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement including the pull out of all foreign mercenaries from Libya and support for the 5+5 Committee.

The statement also stressed importance of political forces and the Libyan people to rally behind the Presidency Council and the Government of National Unity at this juncture to protect Libya’s territorial integrity and restore peace and stability to the country.
