Two senior Italian officials note the positive developments in Libya.

PARIS, April 14, 2021 (LANA) - While the Italian Deputy Foreign Minister, Marina Sereni, called in radio statements yesterday, Tuesday, for strengthening the dynamic historical friendship with Libya, saying: Libya (this strategic country for us) called on the Minister of Defense.

The Italian Minister of Defense Lorenzo Guerrini called during a meeting on Tuesday in Paris with his French counterpart, Florence Parly, to respond effectively to the needs of the Libyan institutions, stressing that the relationship between the two countries is solid and effective.

The Italian news agency Nova quoted Minister Guerini as saying: (The Libyan file has certainly recorded positive developments in recent months and we should prepare at this stage to respond effectively to the needs of the Libyan institutions), stressing that (the commitment of the Italian Ministry of Defense stems from the military technical agreement signed last December).

Sources from the Italian Ministry of Defense said that the two sides discussed in their meeting the commitment in the Libyan file, the Sahel region and the Eastern Mediterranean, European defense and bilateral relations.
