Russia renews its commitment to the settlement in Libya through dialogue that includes all political parties.

Moscow, April 10, 2021 (LANA) - The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Jan Kubis, held talks in the Russian capital, Moscow, on Saturday, with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, on the mechanism for implementing a roadmap to settle the Libyan crisis.

The statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry stated: (The two parties discussed issues of implementation by the new leadership of the roadmap to settle the Libyan crisis, which was adopted by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in November 2020).

The statement, of which the Russian Sputnik Agency published some paragraphs, also stressed the importance of: (strengthening international efforts with a focus on the role of the United Nations to move forward in achieving a settlement of the Libyan crisis on the basis of the principles of respect for the unity and territorial integrity of its territory).

The statement continued: (Moscow reaffirmed its firm commitment to the principles of resolving the crisis in Libya through the establishment of a comprehensive Libyan dialogue with the participation of all political parties in the country.)
