Mnifi receives new Panamanian ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli, April 10, 2021 (LANA) - President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Mnifi, directed to follow up the previous understandings with the Republic of Panama to frame the joint bilateral cooperation, expressing his thanks for the political support that the Republic of Panama provided to the Libyan people before the United Nations.

While receiving the credentials of the new ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Libya, the President of the Presidency Council welcomed Ambassador "Alejandro Mendoza Gantz" and wished him success in his duties.

Al-Mnifi asked the new Panamanian ambassador to convey his greetings to the President of the Republic of Panama, "Lorentino Cortizo," stressing the keenness of the Presidency Council and the Government of National Unity to consolidate bilateral relations between the two countries and to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two peoples and cooperation in many fields.

 For his part, the Panamanian ambassador expressed his happiness at his accreditation as ambassador to Libya, and conveyed the congratulations of his country's government for the formation of the new political authority in Libya, stressing his country's government's keenness to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador praised the depth of relations between the two countries, and Libya's previous support for the Republic of Panama in the right to ownership of the Panama Canal, as well as the ongoing mutual support and coordination in international forums, referring to his endeavor to enhance cooperation in the interest of the two friendly peoples.
