New Turkish ambassador conveys greetings of President Erdogan.

Tripoli, April 10, 2021 (LANA) - The President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Mnifi, received today, Saturday, the credentials of Ambassador Kanaan Yılmaz as ambassador for the Republic of Turkey in Libya.

 The President of the Council welcomed the new Turkish ambassador, stressing the depth of Libyan-Turkish relations, brotherly ties, and bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, noting that the common interests that bind Libya and Turkey will be preserved during the term of the presidency and the national unity government.

Mnifi stressed the importance of the return of Turkish companies to complete their stalled work in the country and contribute to reconstruction projects.

In turn, the new Turkish ambassador, Kanaan Yılmaz, conveyed the greetings of President Rajab Tayip Erdogan to the President of the Presidency Council, and his wishes for the Libyan people for stability, progress and prosperity, expressing his happiness at his accreditation as an extraordinary ambassador and delegate for his country to Libya, and his readiness to work with the Presidency Council and the government of national unity to strengthen historical relations and cooperation relations in various fields.

The new ambassador affirmed his country's continued support for the work of the Presidency Council and the Government of National Unity, just as it supported Libya in the past to achieve security and stability, and that Turkey and the region need a strong, stable and prosperous Libya.

At the end, the President of the Presidency Council expressed the Libyan authorities' readiness to provide all facilities to enable the ambassador to fully perform the tasks entrusted to him.
