Minister of Justice Meets UN Women Representative in Libya Begona Lasagabaster.

Tripoli, 7 April 2021(Lana) Minister of Justice Halima Abdul Rahman received on Tuesday UN Women Representative in Libya Begona Lasa. The meeting was attended by Secretary General of National Committee of International Humanitarian Law and Head of Women Empowerment at the Ministry of Justice.

The meeting focused support for a more active role for women in different areas, and plans of the Ministry of Justice to promote women rights.

The Minister said ‘Libyan law guarantees women rights political economic and social, in accordance with the Constitutional Declaration and Libya has endorsed women’s support.
