Kupis Welcomes Council Announcement on National Reconciliation Commission.

Tripoli, 6 April 2021(Lana) UN Special Envoy to Libya Jan Kupis has welcomed announcement by the Presidency Council of establishment of the High National Reconciliation Commission, to promote unity, reconciliation and human rights among the components of the Libyan people.

In a tweet posted by the UN Support Mission in Libya on its SMS page, Kupis said the UN was ready to assist Libyan authorities in this endeavour, reaffirming the need for such comprehensive reconciliation based on human rights respect which key to a lasting peace, stability and prosperity.
