Lana Local Affairs Editor: Through process of peacefully handing over power, Libyans have demonstrated to the world that they are able to move on the path of building a democratic, civil state.

Tripoli, 16 March , 2021 (Lana) - In a civilized scene that embodied the path of building a democratic civil state,, Tuesday, the office of the Presidential Council in Tripoli organized a ceremony for the handover of power in Libya, which strengthens the endeavor to establish the principle of peaceful transfer of power.

The local affairs editor of the Libyan News Agency commented on this historic event by saying that in the process of handing over power in a democratic and peaceful manner between Al- Sarraj and Al Manafi , and Dabaiba, the Libyan authorities sent a promising and reassuring message to the Libyan people and the world that the Libyans are able to reconcile and tolerate and forget hatred and walk towards peace and harmony when there is a sincere will, and making the interests of the homeland override the narrow self, partisan and regional interests.

 ‘This peaceful civilizational image that took place today that is the handover of power will remain fresh in the eyes and minds of Libyans and the world, and a long-awaited glimmer of hope for the establishment of the democratic civil state, a dreams that the Libyans have always cherished, and distanced them from the specter of war, destruction and brought up hope to live in a country where security, safety, justice and prosperity prevailed’ The editor added.

 The editor called on the new executive and legislative authorities to work and make all efforts to achieve the hopes placed upon them by the Libyans on ending bloodshed, unifying state institutions, restoring the status and sovereignty of the state, laying the foundations for national reconciliation and rescuing the country from the state of chaos and corruption, which all led to deepening the crises and suffering that affected the Libyans everywhere.

Lana local affairs editor concluded his commentary by expressing his wish for the success of the new authority in adhering to its pledges to bring Libyans to the elections, and to hold free and fair presidential and parliamentary elections on the date set on December 24, calling on everyone to cooperate and assist the new authorities in achieving these goals and aspirations.
