Tripoli, March 5, 2021 (LANA) - Abdel Hamid Dbaiba, the named head of the government of national unity, today, Friday, received a phone call from German Chancellor Angela Merkel, during which she discussed the latest developments in the political situation in Libya.

The statement, published on the page of the media office of the "named" head of the national unity government via the international information network, stated that Chancellor Merkel congratulated Dbaiba on the occasion of his assignment to head the government.

In turn, Abdel Hamid Dbaiba praised (Germany's positive role towards Libya through leading a unified European position, its adoption of the idea of holding the Berlin conference to end the conflict in Libya, and its support for the Libyan political dialogue track).
