 Tripoli, February 26, 2021 (LANA) - President of the Presidency Council, "Mohamed Al-Mnifi" received a phone call Thursday evening from the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, "Jean-Yves Le Drian," congratulating him on the election of the Presidency Council and the Government of National Unity.

During the phone call - which discussed the latest developments in the Libyan arena - the French minister affirmed the support of the French Republic for the Presidency Council and the government elected by the Political Dialogue Committee in Geneva and pledged to cooperate with them in order to implement the upcoming entitlements.

On his part, the President of the Presidency Council thanked Minister "Jean-Yves Le Drian" for his congratulations, appreciating the role played by France in supporting the outcomes of the Libyan dialogue in Geneva, which is considered a continuation of the dialogues that took place in Paris (1) and Paris (2).
