Siala thanks everyone who contributed to bringing about positive developments at political level in Libyan file.

Tripoli, 24 February, 2021 (Lana) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord, Mohamed al-Taher Siala, thanked all those who contributed to bringing about positive developments at the political level in the Libyan file and the cooperation of friendly countries and the support of the international community represented by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya in finding a compromise formula that Leads to an end to the fighting and the establishment of peace between the Libyan rivals. 

 In a speech during the opening session of the 46th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council Wednesday, via closed circuit television, Siala stressed the necessity and importance for these efforts to be crowned with international guarantees for the outcomes of the first track, which is the security track and the work of the Joint Military Committee, to ensure the continuity of the success of the tracks, especially the political track, as there is no stability without security or security without stability, and the security and stability of Libya is from the security and stability of all neighboring countries, the Sahel and the Mediterranean basin, and it would contribute positively to finding radical solutions to the region’s problems of migration, cross-border crime and terrorism, and thus supports the essence of Human rights issues.
