Tripoli February 24, 2021 (LANA) - The Supreme Council of State urged the head of the national unity government, Abdel Hamid Dbaiba, to expedite the presentation of the government formation to the House of Representatives for approval according to the roadmap agreed upon at the Forum for Political Dialogue.

     The council also urged in a statement yesterday, Tuesday, the House of Representatives to show the highest levels of responsibility to give this government confidence so that it can start its work in an actual and legal manner.

    The Council affirmed its support for this government to fulfill the obligations entrusted to it, the most important of which is holding elections on the agreed date next December, stressing that it will not interfere in any options or consultations regarding forming the government.

   The Supreme Council of the State expressed its hope that the basic pillar in the choices would be the standards of competence, integrity and experience.
